Jane in Forest

TOAE is done! All artworks are delivered to their new homes. Thank you for all who came to see my works. It was great to see familiar faces once again, and of course new faces too! The show was definitely successful. I learned a lot by seeing other professional artists and listening to your comments and feedback. I am hoping to upload those new images that I had prepared for TOAE, once I get my camera fixed. For now, I have this image of "Jane in Forest," which was done with pen and ink on white paper. I will try to update blog more regularly with new works.
Thank you!

Golden Lock III & IV

Golden Lock III (pen, Indian ink and watercolor, gold ink)

Golden Lock IV (pen, Indian ink and watercolor, gold ink)
15 1/4 x 19 1/4"

These were special order for the customer. It is the extended of golden lock and Jane. I've tried to continue similar mood and atmosphere of the previous drawings by blue, gray and gold colors. I was excited that I can continue the story of golden lock with Jane, and enjoyed drawing them! I think there is more to come for golden lock story and once they are produced, I will make sure to upload pictures of them. Hope you all enjoy!

I thought I need some full shot of 'Jane and Tree,' since I've been missing it...

Indian ink and pen on Japanese Paper. Acrylic on acetate. Stitches on acetate.
I've been meaning to upload these pictures, but March in school is overwhelming me with essays, projects and exams. For these works, I've actually worked with white frame that had a depth in it. I thought it would be fun to play with some colors.

Sketchbook Project - Art house co op.

These are some images from the storybook that I have done for the sketchbook project. I was fortunate enough to get to know about the project from one of TOAE visitors. Basically, anyone can sign up to be part of the sketchbook project, and they send you the moleskin sketchbook. Topics, themes, materials are up to your decision, and you can do anything with it, except that you just have to fit everything in the sketchbook. When sketchbooks are completed and collected in Brooklyn, they will go on tour across U.S. (I know it is too bad that it is not coming to Canada..) However, I did make an order to digitalize my book so that everyone can view it online! More images will be availabe on the website, www.arthousecoop.com . However, the sketchbook is still on the way to Brooklyn, so it will take a while to get it uploaded. As soon as it gets updated, I will post the link on my blog :)
